Postcard made in Ukraine. The text on the postcard reads:”Crimea. Nikitsky Botanical Garden. Monument to V. I. Lenin in the central part”. The postcard looks discoloured but this is due to sunlight.
Nikita Botanical Garden is one of the oldest botanical gardens in Europe. It is located in Crimea, close to Yalta, by the shores of the Black Sea. It was founded in 1812 and named after the settlement Nikita in Crimea, Russian Empire. In 2012 the bust of Lenin was replaced by a bronze statue of goddess Flora (the goddess of nature and flowers). The bust of Lenin was placed in a nearby building next to the bust of Molotov.
