Button made in the United Kingdom with the image of Guy Fawkes.

Guy Fawkes (1570-1606) was an English soldier. He became famous for his role in the conspiracy to assassinate King James I and a large part of the Scottish nobility living in London.
On 5 November 1605, Fawkes was caught in a cellar under the House of Lords, with fuses and gunpowder in his possession.
The plot is therefore known as the Gunpowder Treason. Fawkes and six other culprits were arrested and sentenced to death for high treason.
Every year on 5 November, Guy Fawkes Night is held in the United Kingdom to commemorate the Gunpowder Treason.
On that occasion, straw dolls representing Guy Fawkes are set on fire together with large quantities of fireworks. On that day, an inspection is traditionally held in the cellars of the British Parliament to see whether another attack is being planned.
The Guy Fawkes mask is used as a symbol of recognition by, among others, the group Anonymous.
